Navajo artist Curtis Yanito would often use a piece of pottery to sketch ideas for collector pieces he was working on. More than once a customer touring Cedar Mesa Pottery would offer to buy one of his 'scratch pads'. Dad managed to get this one into his private collection.
One Note: This is NOT a signed finished piece. However, I'll try to remember and ask Curtis if he would consider signing it if he comes in the shop.
